A permit shall not be required for the types of work in each of the separate classes of permit as listed in California Building Code Section 105.2 including those specifically amended below. Exemption from the permit requirements of this Code shall not be deemed to grant authorization for any work to be done in any manner in violation of the provisions of the technical codes or any other laws or ordinances of this jurisdiction. Building permits shall not be required for the items listed in Building Code section 105.2 and for the following which are specifically amended:
Fences not over 6 feet (1.83M) in height or any fence covered on improvement plans prescribed in Chapter 12.03 of the Sacramento County Code.
